Status Saver Privacy Policy

1. Overview
Status Saver ("the App") is provided by Rodwin Pieterse. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information, storage access, advertising, and the media you choose to save.
Status Saver helps you browse viewed status media and save selected items to a folder on your device.
The App does not require account creation or sign-in.
2. Information We Do Not Collect Directly
We do not directly collect or store personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or messages through the App.
We do not upload your photos or videos to our own servers.
3. Media and File Access
To show status media, the App asks you to choose a folder using the Android system folder picker. After you select a folder, Android may grant the App persistent access to that selected folder so the App can continue reading files from it on your device.
The App reads media files from the folder you choose in order to:
- display available status media in the app
- let you preview photo and video statuses
- save selected items to
Downloads/StatusSaver
Saved files remain on your device unless you delete them.
The App may temporarily copy selected media into app cache storage so it can be displayed correctly. Cached files are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
4. Data Stored on Your Device
The App may store limited local app data on your device, such as:
- the previously selected folder reference needed to reopen the same folder
- cached copies of media used for previewing content
- files you choose to save to

5. Advertising and Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services, including Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google Play Services.
These services may collect or process certain device-level or app-level information, which may include:
- Advertising ID
- IP address
- device and app identifiers
- diagnostic information
- app interaction data related to advertising performance, fraud prevention, and analytics
These third-party services may use the information they collect in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6. Personalized Advertising
Ads shown in the App may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your device settings, region, and Google advertising preferences.
You can manage advertising preferences, including resetting or limiting your Advertising ID, in your Android device settings.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your photos or videos with our own servers.
However, third-party SDKs used in the App, such as AdMob and Google Play Services, may receive device-level or app-level information as part of their services.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Because we do not maintain user accounts or our own backend for this App, we do not keep your personal media on our servers.
You can remove App data by:
- uninstalling the App
- clearing the App's local storage/cache in Android settings
- deleting saved files from
Downloads/StatusSaver
Data handled by third-party providers such as Google may be retained according to their own policies.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended for use by children.
10. Security
We take reasonable steps to limit data handling to what is needed for the App's functionality. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on the policy page with an updated effective date.
